
BrightRock turns 15: Celebrating a journey of change and purpose
This year, BrightRock celebrates its 15th birthday – an important milestone and an opportunity to reflect on the journey we have travelled with the people who matter most: our clients, policyholders, advisers and partners.

On 30 May 2011, on a cold Monday morning, a small team gathered at the Circa Gallery in Rosebank to unveil the BrightRock name, mission and cornerstones. It was the beginning of a business with a clear ambition: to bring needs-matched change for good to the South African life insurance market.
Fifteen years later, BrightRock has grown into a business has paid more than R7.85 billion in claims to clients, works with over 5 500 independent financial advisers, and employs more than 450 people. Behind those numbers is a deeper story: one of purpose, innovation and a commitment to helping people navigate change in their lives with confidence.
At the heart of that story are the clients and policyholders who have trusted BrightRock to walk alongside them through life’s changes. Your confidence in us has helped shape who we are, and it continues to inspire our commitment to creating products and experiences that support you.
